Grants

Thank you for your interest in submitting a grant application to the Amherst Education Foundation. Grant applications will be evaluated based on their ability to achieve AEF’s three goals:
• To enhance the Affirmative Action Plan of the Amherst Area schools, which aims for a multi-ethnic teaching force in which racial and ethnic groups are included at a level comparable to their numbers in the school population;
• To support teachers, other staff, and parents’ groups in developing new ways to make school multi-dimensionally excellent;
• To strengthen and expand the base of community support for the public schools, to improve the learning opportunities for students.

Please complete all questions in the attached application. Note that the AEF cannot fund ongoing curricular development or time normally encompassed in regular teaching or administrative duties. We will support project consultants or resource persons. (If you are a teacher and you feel that you should be compensated for time above and beyond the call of duty, please make a case for why.)
